My fitness journey began during the New Years challenge at MPR in 2016 when my daughter, who is a personal trainer, encouraged me to get fit and healthy.  I committed and went “all in” for myself and my family.

I was a teacher in Maryville for 30 years and retired in 2020.  I was an MPR fitness class “junkie” and when needed, I volunteered to help as an instructor.  I try to design unique circuit workouts utilizing a variety of fitness equipment.

When I’m not at MPR, I love to spend time with my husband, three Maryville High graduates, and four grandchildren.

I'm married and have 4 children (1st grandbaby on the way!) that are all Maryville High graduates. You can usually find me at MPR or NWCell although I do like to socialize and spend time at home with my teacup yorkie, Lexie Renae! My husband and I live in town and love to patio sit, travel, go to the Lake of the Ozarks and spend time with our family and friends.  I have taught aerobics since 2003. I am certified in Group Exercise, Brain Gym & Bal-A-Vis-X!  Come join us.... My advice is to try EVERYTHING we have to offer - that way you find something that you like to do and will keep coming back!  Stay strong!

I am happy to join the folks of MPR, especially by offering yoga instruction! My husband John and I recently moved to Maryville when I retired from federal service with the Department of Army. For 25 years I applied my PhD in Social Psychology and behavioral science to organizational and leader development.  It was meaningful work but I am happy not to sit at a desk anymore! I have 2 grown sons and a daughter-in-law. I enjoy hiking, camping, cooking, & traveling.

Hey there, I'm Kallyn! Over the years you've probably seen me at the MCC working child watch or at the front desk. I love working here because of all the amazing people I get to see there! I just started teaching spin class, and I love it because it makes cardio FUN! In my free time you can catch me walking my cute dog Bruno or taking photos! Hope to see you at the MCC!

I have been teaching Pilates since 2010. Pilates is all about strengthening the core while improving strength, flexibility and balance. I love the class and the people who come and we always have a lot of fun!  I have taught senior exercise as well as chair exercise classes. I enjoy taking certification classes and learning new ways to use MCC equipment and every day objects for exercising.

I am married to Brock and have two grown daughters, Lizz and Jess. I love to travel, do things with friends, read, sew and craft. The main organizations where I find myself volunteering are P.E.O., Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nodaway County and the Ministry Center.

Come to Pilates on Thursdays at 9…you’ll be glad you did!

I received both under graduate and graduate degrees from NWMSU and taught at Nodaway-Holt for 31 years before retiring in 2016.  I joined the New Year’s Challenge in January 2017 and consider myself a member of the huge family at the Rec.  Due to some arm twisting by Jacque Oglesby and Stacy Bundridge, I began subbing in 2018.  I currently teach Fitness Fusion and Senior Circuit classes. I also sub for toning! My husband, Scott, and I live south of Graham and farm there. We have three children, three grandchildren, and love to camp, boat, and travel.

I've taught yoga for three years and enjoy the benefits I experience in body, mind and spirit. Yoga significantly lowers my stress and increases my sense of well being--my hope as well for those who attend my classes. I am a spiritual director, pastor and florist and lead occasional art and spirituality workshops. Some of my favorites are chocolate, sunshine and dancing in the kitchen. I'm married with two teenage kids and a dog.
